The VIPER is the newest utility flashlight we currently sell. It features a conventional single diode design at the front which outputs a stunning 2000 lumens of power at a 'neutral' color temperature of 6500K. If you're curious about what color temperature is, please click here to read our article.

The VIPER also features a full length 'side light' which is perfect for applications which require soft and diffused illumination for extended periods of time.

Because the VIPER also features a magnetic tailcap, it's easily attaches to vehicles (undercarriage, hood, etc..) or any other magnetic surface.

The viper includes a lithium-ion battery. There are two options available: a 2800mAh 18650 cell which is included in the base price or a 5000mAh 21700 cell which is an additional $9.

Nice light

Better than I expected. It’s put together just as good as my Baton 3. I bought the 5000mah version and the thing I am surprised by the most is the battery I got with it. For the money they ask ($9), you actually can not find that same battery elsewhere in the aftermarket. It would cost way more…so this is a really good deal.

Good, but confusing

Awesome flashlight but the battery situation with this thing is a catastrophe. Took me a while to understand what was going on with it so I'll explain:

This flashlight is sized for a 21700 battery, except taklite does not send you a 21700. They send you an 18650 and an upsizing adapter. In order to make the 18650 fit, it has to go inside the adapter, but at the correct orientation. The problem is that the 18650 itself is a flat top cell and the orientation (+)/(-) are poorly labeled. It's there, but you have to look hard. So you line everything up correctly, put it in, and wonder why it wont turn on, only to realize that this flashlight for some reason requires a long press of the button (you have to hold it) to turn on.

Again, it works well, and I think for the money it is an awesome value, but I found the initial setup a little confusing.
